Announcing Free Meals for All Students at Qualifying Schools: Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) Program

Mesa Public Schools

February 22, 2024

Mesa Public Schools is pleased to announce that through the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) of the National School Breakfast and Lunch Program, your school is one of 45 qualifying schools and 5 programs in our district that will soon be able to provide breakfast and lunch to all students at no charge.

Effective March 1, 2024, and throughout the 2024-25 school year, CEP will provide thousands of students in Mesa with nutritious and flavorful meals, while eliminating the need for Free and Reduced Meal applications. At CEP schools, every student will be eligible to receive one free breakfast and lunch meal. Additional meals and a la carte items will continue to be available at regular pricing.

We know you share in our excitement about CEP and the relief it will bring to families who may be experiencing food insecurity. Please visit mpsaz.org/food for more information on qualifying schools, Free and Reduced Meal applications, menus, and more.
